Weaving

Spinning

Savannah has been spinning yarn since 2018. Using primarily a Fantasia spinning wheel from Kromski, she creates yarns that range from bulky art yarns to fine lace weight yarns.

Dyeing

Savannah started hand dyeing fiber, yarn and fabric in her studio in Ireland in 2017. She predominately dyes with acid dyes, but also undertakes longer projects where she grows dye plants in her urban permaculture garden she started after settling in Tweed Ontario.

Fiber Preparations

Hand dyed fiber is not the only preparation of fiber that Savannah works with and sells. Rolags, Batts and Combed Top are also available from her studio

Thread Sculptures

Since 2014 Savannah has explored creating sculptures with thread, uniquely displayed in shadow box frames. These pieces have been in several exhibitions in Ireland throughout West Cork while she was living there and featured in the Irish Times.
